NEW MOVES...

I am going back to school!!
I always wanted to go back but I never got the chance because of so many different reasons.

Story behind this:
Did hair my whole life, good at it...never wanted to purse it as a career because I am set on what I want already...BUT

The other day, I did a shoot for a new agency model...where I was the hairstylist.
I wasn't nervous because I am confident in my abilities, I know my boundaries...but I did it and it came out really nicely. I got to talking to some people....(I always have to network somewhere all by accident..but yet so purposefully HA! Catch me less than 4 years ago and this would be so diff.) and they really inspired me to pursue it further.

As a freelance stylist, I can still be an entrepreneur building my consulting empire while being exposed to the fashion industry from another perspective, of the hairstylist. It is also great $, you just need to be a self motivated, "grinder" which I am when need be, So........

I think I am going to cosmetology school my friends!!
BIG DECISION...hope I do not change my mind again in a week:/

TIMING...

How long does it take to FULLY move on from a past that was once your everything?
That includes a location, a person, career, lifestyle, anythinnnng. How long does it really take.

What if its a person? How long until you no longer have to think about that person? How long does it take until you are at a place that is all too positive, where that person is but a vague memory?
Is there really a time frame, or does it vary by the individual?

Hmmm.. Questions that need answers but might not get any due to its complexity.

If you know me, you KNOW I will never divulge into being specific about anything personal in a public setting such as this LoL. I am sure you all understand. It isn't necessarily a bad thing.

But I will say, I do believe it is possible to move forward from a past you were once attached to, but on the other hand, I think it will always be in the back of your mind waiting to be triggered back to consciousness. You might see something familiar, hear something, walk past somewhere, etc.
Whatever it is...if forward is where you want to remain...my advice..STAY BUSY! Proven to relieve even the worst cases of nostalgia! HA!

What about closure? Is it really always necessary for life changing decisions? If you were kidnapped from your lifelong home(a bit extreme), freed, and never saw it again...would you need to go back for a last goodbye? lol ...What about if a relationship was just suddenly ended and you never got a chance to find out why or work anything out...would you be able to move on without getting closure? Thoughts, let me know yours.

I love Awards shows...

I really do love awards shows, My favorite ever is the Academy Awards..idk why but I never miss it.
I missed the Golden Globes cuz I'm getting ready for my preview......Fine, thas a lie.

Ok the real reason is because I don't watch much TV but stillll.

I def looked at the images from the show though and I must say....Monique looks really elegant and simple.. I like.


Im sure there are more people..but I didnt go thru them all yet...

I usually never say Happy anything except Bday just bc Im that kind of person..But I think everyone deserves a Happy New Year with everything going on in the world today.

Life is so crazy with so many ups and downs!

Let me start with the ups..

1. I'm finally at a point 2 yrs later where I dont choke up over certain tingzz..(guess if u want idc)
2. My fashion and business career is making some moves! (Small infant moves, but its moving!)
3. My network of positive people is expanding ....I love positive energy!
4. Finally getting recognized for ME and the way I have always lived my life..

Then the downs...
1. #1 up there is a down, I cant front...Cannottt. lol
2. I want soooo much, and its so hard to just do one at a time :/
.....if I told you anymore I would have to kill you (with sweetness of course=)

I just cant wait til Saturday .....Renee Fredrique's 1 Yr anniv. Private Fashion Preview Party!! SO many ppl rsvp'd and that makes me happy. Im busy sewing and marketing and getting stuff together for it....But it will go well, I have FAITH.
if only yall knew how much work I put into my brand....as anyone should. I swear Im too hard on myself..I need to be doing more!

I have been gone for about 3 months! OMG did anyone miss me?
So much stuff has been going on

I have been killing myself getting involved with new projects for RF
Making connects, getting collabs together..(we know RF is my baby and I gotta nurture it)

On top of that comes having to work, then the personal life...blah blah blah...which is why I haven't blogged in so long.

I have a surprise for you though! We recently did 2 photoshoots with two very talented up and coming photographers. As you guessed I have pictures.

FASHION NIGHT ...Without.

So as most of us know...Yesterday was FASHION NIGHT OUT, and across the world...Stores had sales, parties, celebs, free stuff!! ...[lets not forget the crowds!]

--I personally did not attend any store event because I was not dressed and ready for the occasion ..having come from work and all...Even tho I was around the corner from the action---

A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends
all their time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.

They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever good enough!

When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters...

That's why you have to be careful with whom you share
your blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't
handle seeing you blessed...

It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God
wanted you to be like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right?

You never know what people have gone through to get what they have...
The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they don't know my story...
If the grass looks greener on the other side of the
fence, you can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We've all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can:
a) Have a relationship with God
b) Light up a room when you walk in
c) Start your own business
d) Tell a man / woman to hit the curb (if he / she isn't about the right thing)
e) Raise your children without both parent being in the home

Haters can't stand to see you happy.
Haters will never want to see you succeed.

Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be on our side.

How do you handle your undercover haters?

You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are (VERY IMPORTANT!!)
2. Having a purpose to your life:
Purpose does not mean having a job. You can have a job and still be unfulfilled.
A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be.
Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.
3. By remembering what you have is by divine prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live...when its your time to leave this earth, you 'want' to be able to say, 'I've lived my life and fulfilled 'my' dreams,... Now I'm ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters,
'Don't look at me...Look at Who is in charge of me...'

Pass this to all of your family & friends who you know
are not hating on you including the person who sent it to
you. If you don't get it back, maybe you called somebody
out! Don't worry about it, it's not your problem,
it's theirs.. Just pray for them, that their life can be as
fulfilled as yours! Watch out for Haters...BUT most of all don't
become a HATER!
